Wisconsin Turning Systems
Located in Targoviste, Romania, 85 km (50 miles) from Bucharest, this company was incorporated in 1969 and was endowed at the time with state-of-the-art machine tools and test equipment for the production of small to medium size horizontal lathes. The company was acquired by the Wisconsin group and renamed Wisconsin Turning Systems (WTS) in April of 2000. Its primary products include:
Horizontal lathes, conventional and CNC
Automatic lathes, single and multi-spindle
Contract Machining and Assembly
The Company has produced over 20,000 lathes since inception of which 65% were exported. Its facilities total 90,000 square meters (980,000 sq ft) manufacturing facility, well-lit and clean with overhead crane capacity in all of the manufacturing bays. The Company has full internal capability to convert raw material into machined and assembled products. The plant includes forging, heat treatment, plating, 475 machine tools for machining of products and components, machine assembly, and other related facilities.
Products produced by this Company are marketed throughout the world by distributors through their dealer organizations and on the Internet.
